The image was inspired by a these little houses at Brighouse Bay, near Kircudbright, Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland. I like the way the older cottages feel like they are part of the landscape. They fit in so well among the rolling hills leading down to the coast.
I made this lithograph entirely myself from beginning to end, from the initial idea, through painting and drawing the image on the litho stone, processing and proofing, to printing the edition.
